Fee, one of the best known citizens in Chartiers township, died in the Canonsburg hospital at 11.25 the same night. Fee, one of the best known citizens in Chartiers township, died in the Canonsburg hospital at 11.25 the same night. As Mr. Fee was leaving a car he was struck by a taxi belonging to the Patsch company at Houston, and driven by Edwin Davis of the same place. The taxi was returning from the residence of T. D. Cummins at McConnells Mills, where it had taken a passenger. The taxi, after hitting Mr. Fee, left the road and overturned. Mr. Fee was hit squarely, and after taken to the hospital it was found that he had suffered a fractured right arm and right leg, and bruises about the head and face. An effort was made to reduce the fracture, but while under an anesthetic it was found that it would be impossible to set the broken bones. He failed to rally from the shock and died at the hour stated above. Coroner William B. Baker will investigate the death and a jury will hold an inquest into the affair, but the date has not yet been set. Mr. Fee was a son of John and Hannah Fee, deceased, and was 66 years of age. He leaves his wife, Catherine Stewart Fee, and the following children: David Arthur, of Cleveland; Elizabeth, wife of Joseph Cumer, Jr., of Canonsburg, and Clair Stewart Fee and Ellis Gray Fee, Jr., at home. Three brothers, David H., editor of The Canonsburg Notes, and Samuel G. and James Harvey, of Chartiers township, also survive. He was a member of the Cross Roads United Presbyterian church and well respected throughout the community. Funeral services will be held in the late home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. , C. C. French, his pastor. Interment will be in the Oak Spring cemetery, Canonsburg.
