Graduated from Kearney State College, 1969; taught school most of her life, starting in rural schools near Loup City, and then in the Boelus, North Bend and Kearney areas; retired after teaching at Centura Public Schools in 1981. Activities: member of the Loup City Historical Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Baptist Missionaries, Wiggle Creek Club and various bridge clubs; primary interests were her family, traveling, cooking and watching her children's and grandchildren's sports and school activities; was an avid reader and bridge player. Was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Glenn and Ellis Sickels; and sisters Wilma Rademacher and Luvona Janda.
