Grimes, who died Tuesday noon in Newman Memorial County Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Grimes, formerly of 826 Cottonwood St., had lived recently with a daughter, Mrs. Wendell Richards, 412 Elm St. A resident of Emporia since 1908, he had been an interior decorator and at one time was a member of the Grace Methodist Church. The son of Isaac J. and Rhoda Maria Hovey Grimes, he was born June 1st, 1878, in Belton, Mo., and he was married to Bertha Jane Alexander March 20th, 1906, in Burlington. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters and he is survived by his wife, of 412 Elm St.; one son, Everett, of 1010 Exchange St.; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Smith, 841 West Sixth Ave.; Mrs. George (Marjorie) Martin, Inkster, Mich., and Mrs. Richards; one sister, Mrs. Montie Saxton, Waverly; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ben Grimes, Helena, Mont., 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
