The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, November 30, 1989; pg. 1 ================= Elpha Anita Heinrich, one of five children of Charles Del and Mina May (Chase) Moffatt, was born in Milligan, Nebraska, on January 8, 1906, and passed away November 22, 1989, in Citrus Heights, California, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 14 days. The family moved to Edgar, Nebraska, when she was a small children, then to a farm near Kimball, Nebraska. She was educated in the Edgar and Kimball schools. They then moved back to a farm near Nelson. On May 8, 1923, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, she was united in marriage to George Heinrich. This union was blessed with two daughters, Golda and Anita. She moved to Sacramento, California, to be near her daughter in 1982, and that last six years had lived in Eskaton. She was a member of the Nelson Presbyterian Church, being very active in Ladies Aid of the Church. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and tatting. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband George on April 5, 1974; and a brother, Harold Moffatt. Survivors include her daughters Golda Wellsworth and her husband Clyde of Sacramento, California, and Anita Gross and her husband Carl of Lone Oak, Texas; two sisters, Sara Lessig of Gold Beach, Oregon, and Margaret Troudt and her husband LaVern of Alma, Nebraska; a brother, Wayne Moffatt and his wife Jennie of Hastings, Nebraska; 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 29, 1989, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Royce Buchtel officiating. Music was provided by soloist Joe Ferebee singing "How Great Thou Art" and "Beyond The Sunset" with Dot Ferebee as organist and accompanist. Casketbearers were LaVerne Clabaugh, Don Doher, Harlan Meyer, Jack DeHart, Ivan Gharring and Elbert Farver. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery near Nelson, Nebraska.
