Funeral services were Wednesday at 10:30 am., at the Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Marian H. Knoell officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery. Elsie Edna Dixon was born May 8,1899, at Green City, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Vinny Harlan Dixon. She moved to the Superior area as a young girl with her parents. Mrs. Porter was a member of the United Methodist Church, Superior. Before retirement, she had worked at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital and at the Good Samaritan Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Nellie Hurd. She is survived by her husband, John, who is a patient in the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital and was unable to attend the service; a son, Wendell Porter, Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Blaine Hicks (Alberta), Superior, and Mrs. Robert Hunter (Colene), Nelson; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Floyd Dixon, California, and a sister, Mrs. Mildred McFadden, Emmett, Idaho.
