Stewart and her infant daughter were brought fro Sioux City to Laurens last Thursday for burial and the funeral was held from the Methodist church Friday afternoon. The services were in charge of the pastor, Rev. W. A. WinterStein. Burial was made in the Laurens cemetery. Stewart and her infant daughter were brought fro Sioux City to Laurens last Thursday for burial and the funeral was held from the Methodist church Friday afternoon. The following obituary was read at the funeral services: "Mrs. Stewart was born Elvira Harriett Bunch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Bunch, at their family home near Laurens, Iowa on March 17, 1909. She attended the rural school near her home and the High School of Laurens, and was a general favorite because of her sunny disposition. On December 14, 1928 she became the bride of Myron Glenn Stewart. They made their home in Sioux City and eagerly anticipated the advent of an expected baby. On Wednesday morning, September 18, 1929 at eleven o'clock Mrs. Stewart was admitted as a patient in the Maternity section of one of the Sioux City hospitals. At four in the afternoon, after the birth of their little daughter Beverly Jean, Mrs. Stewart fell asleep, not again to waken. The wee daughter did not survive and mother and loving hands have brought them both, the young mother and her babe, back to rest here where every heart is filled with loving sympathy over the tragic ending of the happy house of this young couple. Mrs. Stewart in childhood completed the course of training for Church Membership given by the Reverend Dr. (Lease?) and was by him received into full membership in the church here. At a very early age she became a teacher in the local Church School and was very highly esteemed for her faithfulness to her task and for her efficiency in it. At the time of her death she was a member of Grace Church in Sioux City. Besides her husband and parents, Miss (?) of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. (?) Ingram of Laurens and Miss Ila Bunch of Laurens, sisters, survive. Her only brother Clifford died in 1919."
