Description	:	Emil A. "Sonny" Jensen, son of Jens Peter and Cora L. (Fredricksen) Jensen, was born August 27, 1911, at Ruskin, Nebraska. He passed away Thursday, March 8, 2001, at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 9 days. He attended school in Ruskin and graduated from Ruskin High School in 1931. June 24, 1931, Emil was married to Christa Nielsen at Clay Center, Nebraska. To this union three sons were born. (Fredricksen) Jensen, was born August 27, 1911, at Ruskin, Nebraska. He passed away Thursday, March 8, 2001, at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 9 days. He attended school in Ruskin and graduated from Ruskin High School in 1931. June 24, 1931, Emil was married to Christa Nielsen at Clay Center, Nebraska. To this union three sons were born. Emil and his father delivered milk in the Ruskin area until 1935 when he and his family moved to a farm in the Hardy area. In 1958 he and Christa moved to Long Beach, California, where he was a custodian at a Lutheran church. They returned to Nebraska in 1961, settling in Superior, where he worked for Winebar Plumbing and J.E. Nobles Plumbing until retiring. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Lions Club, both in Superior. Emil was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. Survivors include his wife, Christa Jensen of Superior, Nebraska; three sons, Waldean Jensen and his wife Twilla of Waterloo, Iowa, Leslie Jensen and his wife Bonnie of Nelson, Nebraska, and Donald Jensen and his wife NaDeane of Oak Harbor, Washington; one sister, Adelaide Jacobsen of Superior, Nebraska; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday, March 12, 2001, at 2 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska, with Pastors Jon Albrecht and Robert Hoeft officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Superior. Williams Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, March 15, 2001; pg. 7
