Funeral services for Mrs Vitek were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in Ray J. Smith Mortuary in West Point with Rev. George P. Krebs officiating. Burial was in the Bohemian National cemetery. Mrs. Vitek, nee Emily Mary Zaloudek, was born on May 23, 1887 in Czechoslovakia to Joseph and Mary Zaloudek. At the age of 16 years she came alone to the United States, coming directly to Dodge, Nebr. She made her home the last five years with Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Petz, her daughter and husband. On Sept. 6, 1904 she was united in marriage to Frank Kriz at Dodge. To this union were born two children. Mr. Kriz preceded her in death in 1910. She then was united in marriage to Jacob Vitek on Oct. 20, 1914 at Dodge. To this union were born three children. Mr. Vitek preceded her in death in 1939. Surviving are two daughters, Marie, Mrs. Marvin Petz of West Point and Marcella, Mrs. John Ortmeier of West Point; two sons, Alvin of San Diego, Calif. and Melvil of Arlington, Nebr.; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Zaloudek of Weeping Water and one sister, Mary Sova of Czechoslovakia. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and one sister; 2 children, Malada, an infant who died in 1909 and Joseph, who died in 1918 while in the service of his country.
