The third was Mrs. William Koester, a daughter of the late Conrad Droge. She lived at Seneca for some time and her recent home was in DuBois. Mrs. Koester, whose husband is a brother of Mrs. W. L. Kauffman of Seneca, was 52 years old. She had been married to Mr. Koester for about 10 years. They do not have any children, though Mr. Koester has four from a former marriage. Mrs. Koester was a daughter of Conrad Droge, once an influential Nemaha man. She had lived in Seneca for some time before making her home in DuBois. Death came Thursday night at the Pawnee hospital after illness covering several years. Burial was yesterday near Friedens Evangelical church after services by Rev. O. J. Kreuger at the church which followed a short service at the DuBois home. She was a member of the Friedens church. She leaves to mourn an aged mother, one sister and four brothers. All live at DuBois except one brother in Colorado.
