Casket bearers Listed Casket bearers were Ed Husmann, Rudolph Soukup, Eugene Bray, Ed Stadtmueller, George Brown, and Elmer Juilfs. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Emma Grace Dirks was born Feb. 17, 1910 in Wayne township, Jones County. She was the daughter of Harm and Kate Zimmerman Dirks. She spent her early life near Langworthy and attended the Langworthy rural school Marriage Given She was united in marriage with Herman Tapken June 5, 1928. Couple farmed in Cass township until 1951 when they moved to Cass Center. Mrs. Tapken was a member of the Wayne Lutheran church and Cass Ladies aid. Survivors Listed Survivors include her husband, three sons, Harvey and Richard, Anamosa, and John, at home, one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Leona) Neunaber, Anamosa; three grandsons. Three brothers, Herman Dirks and Ed Dirks, Marion, and Alva Dirks, Springville, one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Schmidt Elgin, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents. ∼ss as Herman
