HARRY STREFF DIES Funeral Arrangements Await Word From Relatives Living In Iowa Mrs. Harry Streff, 55, well known resident of Lead, passed away at the family home at 408 East Main street at 10:15 o'clock last night following a long illness. Mrs. Streff had not been in good health for the past three years, and her condition had been serious for the last six weeks. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John Finn, of Deadwood; Miss Frances Streff and Miss Ruby Streff, of Lead; three brothers, Frank and Joe Gerrity, of Cascade, Ia., and William Gerrity, of Mason City, Ia.; and four sisters, Mrs. William Frace and Miss Frances Gerrity, of Cascade, Ia.; and Mrs. Peter Roller, of Mitchell, S.D. The deceased was born in Cascade, Ia., August 26, 1880. She spent her girlhood there and was married in 1910 to Harry Streff. They came to Lead in 1911 and have made their home here ever since. Mrs. Streff was a devout member of St. Patrick's Catholic church. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:30 at St. Patrick's church. Lead Daily Call, Monday, September 16, 1935, page 1: Streff Services Are Held Today High mass of requiem for the late Mrs. Harry Streff was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic church this forenoon by the Rev. James Sweeney. A large number of friends of Mrs. Streff and of her family were present at the rites. The Rev. M.S. Roach preached the sermon Miss Julia Nevin sang a solo, "O Salutaris," and Miss Nevin and Mrs. Cecil Underwood sang a duet, "Rose of the Cross." Miss Maxine Parsons played the organ accompaniment. Interment was in Calvary cemetery, with an escort composed of Chris Diass, Philip oCommisky, Orville Dun, Joe Miller, William Willging and Norman Landguth.
