Description	:	Fairfield Ledger April 25, 1894 Pg. 3 Col. 7 Death of Mrs. McKee. The death of Emma, wife of George W. McKee, occurred in this city Monday about midnight. She had been a sufferer from consumption for several years, and had been failing quite rapidly in health and strength for two or three months past. Deceased was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Huston of Round Prairie township. She had been a sufferer from consumption for several years, and had been failing quite rapidly in health and strength for two or three months past. Deceased was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Huston of Round Prairie township. She was twenty-six years of age (sic. 26y 5m 8d per inscription), and was born and grew to womanhood in this county. Her marriage to Mr. McKee occurred October 19, 1887. One child was born to them, a daughter who is now about four years old. Mrs. McKee was a very estimable young woman, and there are many friends throughout the county who will mourn her death. The remains were interred in this city this morning. -------- Note: The May 9, 1929 Fairfield Ledger obituary for Emma's husband George W. McKee inadvertently wrote that she died in 1893 instead of 1894. Note: a child born and died May 7, 1897 is also buried on this same plot in Evergreen cemetery. Perhaps it was the son born to George W. McKee after his remarrage in 1895 to Anna Grant McKee?
