Description	:	Obituary: Mrs. Henry (Emma Mathilde) Michaelis died in the capital city of Lincoln, Nebraska, on Thursday, Oct. 22, 1959, She was 67. She had been hospitalized seven weeks. Daughter of Diedrich Herman Knippelmier and Marie Wilhelmine Muhsmann, she was born on a farm one and one-half miles west of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church near Johnson, Nebraska, on Feb. 11, 1892. Daughter of Diedrich Herman Knippelmier and Marie Wilhelmine Muhsmann, she was born on a farm one and one-half miles west of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church near Johnson, Nebraska, on Feb. 11, 1892. She was one of 9 children. She attended country school at the Speckman school, and grew to womanhood in that community. She was a long-time member of the Martin Luther Church, being confirmed there in 1906. She was married to Heinrich Diedrich Michaelis on Dec. 22, 1910. The minister was Rev. Deubler. Three children were born to the marriage. She is survived by her husband, three children, Mrs. Ted (Nora)Koerner and Mrs. Boyd "Millie" Cook of Lincoln and Norman Michaelis of Liberty; two brothers, Henry and Herman Knippelmier of Minco, Oklahoma ; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Martin Luther Church near Johnson, Nebraska, with Rev. Richard Fruehling officiating. Mrs. Walter Phelps and Mrs. Emil Bohling were in charge of the flowers. The music was urnished by the church choir, with Mrs. Eldon Bohling as the organist. The pallbearers were Walter Knippelmeir, Rudolph Knippelmier, Edwin Blinde, Leo Blinde, Lloyd Michaelis and Chester Phelps.
