Mr. McCroskey was born on May 6, 1929 in Giles County, VA and was a son of the late William McKinley and Mary Elizabeth Woods McCroskey. Mr. McCroskey retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1968 and also was a retiree from Federal Mogul in Blacksburg. Mr. McCroskey is survived by his wife, Teresa (Carman) Viador McCroskey of Pearisburg; one son, William C. McCroskey of Pembroke; two daughters, May Vass of Summerville, SC, Barbara M. A Funeral Mass will be conducted Wednesday, January 12, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Pearisburg with Father Paul Gallerger officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg. Please use the chapel entrance on Church Street.
