Read More	Aged 72 yrs, 2 m, 20 d The Voice Republican Thursday March 28, 1912 Page 1 Obituary Ignace Belanger, one of the old and much revered residents of Clyde, passed away at his late home, this city, on the evening of the 21st, after a lingering illness of about two years. Mr. Belanger was born at Saint Leon, Providence of Quebec, Canada, on the 1st of January 1840 and at an early age, settled in Bourbonnais County, Illinois. He married Miss Exelene Manna at Kankakee, Illinois; their union was blessed by the birth of three children. He and his family came, in 1870 to Washington County, Kansas and resided for four years near Palmer, in 1874 he and his family moved to the St. Joseph parish, where he lived until he moved to Clyde. His first wife, having departed this life, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Delma Landry Noel, to this union one son was born. He leaved to lament his loss his beloved wife and his two sons, Frank and William; two brothers: Edward of this city and Henry of Sherborns, Illinois and his only surviving sister, Mrs. Elmire Barcelaux of Kankakee, Ill. Two of his children, one boy and one girl, together with their mother having already preceded him in death. Having lived in this part of the country for the past 42 years he gained, by his kindly disposition, the good will and respect of all who had the happiness of knowing him. His kindness manifested itself in his every action and was extended alike to both old and young. The sympathy of this community is extended to his affectionate wife, his two sons, his two brothers and sister in their sad bereavement. Requiem Mass was celebrated by Father Colleran at the Catholic church at Clyde at 9 o’clock Saturday and interment too place in the family burial ground at St. Joseph, Kansas on Saturday afternoon.
