Description	:	Enoch was the son of Stephen and Mary Polly (Brown) Rogers of Plymouth NH. He had many siblings including Josiah Brown Rogers. In 1850 he was age 30 living with his widowed mother Polly in Holderness. By 1860 he had married and had a daughter and was living still in Holderness and working as a carpenter. Read More	Enoch was the son of Stephen and Mary Polly (Brown) Rogers of Plymouth NH. He had many siblings including Josiah Brown Rogers. In 1850 he was age 30 living with his widowed mother Polly in Holderness. By 1860 he had married and had a daughter and was living still in Holderness and working as a carpenter. In 1870 Enoch was living in Ashland and was a dry goods and groceries retailer. He was 51 and also in the household was Laura I. age 29 and Katie E. F. age 11. In 1880 he was 62 and Laura J. was 39 and Katie had married John Ernest and was living next door. John was in the grocery business with Enoch. He married Abbie F. Cate Aug 9, 1882 in Bristol NH. He was 63 and Abbie was 34, daughter of Noah and Louisa Cate. Enoch was a merchant born in Plymouth and Abbie had been born in Holderness. It was Abbie's first marriage. Enoch died, retired merchant, from softening of the brain at age 74 in Ashland (death record) son of Stephen and Polly Rogers. Obit added by BLHughes: Enoch Rogers is no better. The Ashland Item, November 19, 1892, p5. Enoch Rogers died at his residence the evening of Friday, the 18th, aged 74 years. He had been in failing health many months. Many years ago he served as town clerk, and later, he was superintending school committee, and for two years or more was one of the board of selectmen. He was a good citizen, a kind husband and father. Funeral took place at the residence last Sunday afternoon and was attended by a large number of relatives and citizens. Rev. E.C. Clark officiated. Among the number of friends who were present were D.S. Burnham of Plymouth, and Miss Lula Knowles of Meredith. Interment took place in Green Grove Cemetery. A widow, an only daughter, Mrs. Katie Ernest, three grandsons, a sister, Mrs. Ripson Mitchell of Bridgewater and other relatives survive him. The Ashland Item, November 26, 1892, p5. Note: History of Plymouth indicates the Enoch son of Stephen and Polly Rogers was the other Enoch buried here and who married Mary Rollins, however the Enoch with widowed mother Polly in 1850 was age 30, born around 1819 and the Enoch who married Mary Rollins was born 1789. That Enoch was the son of Enoch and Lydia Moores and a brother to Stephen who married Polly Brown.
