Description	:	Erma Lucille (Keil) Perkins was born on Nov. 23, 1098, to William and Josephine (Schreiner) Keil, at Fairmont. She passed away on October 26, 2004 at the Exeter Care Center at the age of 95 years, 11 months and three days. Erma spent all of her life in the Fairmont/Exeter area and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1925. Read More	Erma Lucille (Keil) Perkins was born on Nov. 23, 1098, to William and Josephine (Schreiner) Keil, at Fairmont. She passed away on October 26, 2004 at the Exeter Care Center at the age of 95 years, 11 months and three days. Erma spent all of her life in the Fairmont/Exeter area and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1925. On Jan. 26, 1927, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Perkins, and to this union was born two daughters, Beverly and Dianne. Erma and Kenneth lived on the family farm northwest of Exeter where they farmed during the difficult depression years of the 1930's. In 1969, Kenneth and Erma moved to their home in Fairmont. Erma enjoyed crocheting, quilting and playing cards, especially Pitch, gardening and her flowers. She also enjoyed being a 4-H leader for several years. She was a wonderful cook and took pride in canning for her family. She was a life-long member of the Fairmont Community Church. Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Perkins; brother, Ralph Keil and son-in-law, Dave Swanson. Erma is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Perkins) Swanson and Dianne (Perkins) Hanson and husband, Monty; six grandchildren, Ken Swanson and wife, Ann; Cindy Swanson; Patrician VerMas and husband, Dennis; Lori Swanson, JoDeen Swartz and husband, Phillip, and Mark Hanson and wife, Melissa; fourteen great-grandchildren, Jennifer Conley, David Swanson, Emily, Julie and Katie Sipp, Justin, Megan and Jessica VerMas; Kelsey, Tyler and Trevor Swartz, Dalton Carter, Ryen Ann and Bailey Hanson; three great-great-grandchildren, Ethan Conley, Alexandra Black and Savannah Sipp; sister, Ruby Real; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 29 from the Fairmont Community Church with Rev. Dr. Raponzil Drake officiating. Nancy Jo Galusha accompanied Gregg Rehm, who snag "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "In the Land Where We'll Never Grow Old". The congregational hymn was "The Old Rugged Cross. Casket bearers were Ken Swanson, Mark Hanson, Phil Swartz, Dennis VerMas, Justin VerMas, Don Bristol, Mike Young and Richard Perkins. Interment was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery.
