He was born on Nov. 6, 1914, to Ernest and Maude Luckett Dringman in Sutherland He grew up in Sutherland and graduated from North Platte High School in 1936. Read More	Ernest William Dringman Ernest William Dringman, 90, of North Platte died June 23, 2005, at Linden Court. He was born on Nov. 6, 1914, to Ernest and Maude Luckett Dringman in Sutherland He grew up in Sutherland and graduated from North Platte High School in 1936. He married Nettie Maurine Golden March 14, 1936. She preceded him in death April 28, 1999. He was a meat cutter for Snyder Meat Market in North Platte for 20 years and in 1958 began a new career with American General Life Insurance Co. as an agent. He was honored in 2001 with the Association Achievement Award in recognition of 40 years of outstanding excellence in life insurance sales from 1961 to 2001. He was also the recipient of many awards including the National Quality Award, Life Member of the Life Insurance Leaders of Nebraska, Outstanding Overall Performance and the National Sales Achievement Award. He served as president of the North Platte Valley Underwriters Association. On May 12, 2000, he married Norma Merritt Camp in North Platte. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior for more than 60 years. He served as senior and junior warden. He was ushering up until the time of his death. He was a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion, and was a member of Indian Meadows Golf Club, where he still holds the putting record. He was an accomplished golfer, water skier, and an excellent baseball and hockey player. He loved fishing. Survivors include his wife Norma of North Platte; daughters Carol (Richard) Davis of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Lynda (Steve) Johnson of Centralia, Mo., step-son Rodney (Carol) Watson of Arnold; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; brothers, Fred, Clarence and Paul; and sister Louise Stutheit. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Episcopal Church of our Savior. Services will be 1:30 p.m. June 28 at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior with the Rev. Thomas White officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Adams and Swanson Funeral Home.
