She had been beadfast at her home near Whitten the last six months. The Eldora Herald-Ledger, Eldora, IA, Apr. 21, 1959, p. 13 Rites Friday for Mrs. Esther Saint Funeral services were Friday at the Christian Church in Whitten for Mrs. Esther Saint who died Wednesday afternoon, at the Eldora Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness. Burial was in the Edlora cemetery. The daughter of Truman and Mary Wa;ton, Mrs. Saint was born March 23, 1876, in Hardin county, where she resided her entire life. She was married to William A. Saint in September 20, 1892 i Grundy Center. To this union for children were born; Mrs. Florence Vinton, Ray Saint and twins where died in infancy. She was an active member of the Whitten Christian Church while enjoying good health. She is survived by on daughter, Mrs. Florence Vinton of Whitten, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Martha Saint of Waterloo; one brother, David Walton of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren and 16 treat grandchildren. Services were attended by person from Kansas, Minnesota, Nashua, Newton, Waterloo, Melbourne, Iowa Falls, Marshalltown and Eldora. She had been in failing health for the last several months. Mrs. Saint was born March 23, 1876, in Hardin county. She was the daughter of Truman and Mary Walton, and spent all her life in Hardin county. She was married to William A. Saint, Sept. 20, 1893, in Grundy Center. They were the parents of four children. Mrs. Florence Vinton Ray Saint, and twins who died in infancy. She is survived by on daughter, Mrs. Florence Vinton of Whitten; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marth Saint of Waterloo; one brother, david Walton of Waterloo; also 11 grandchildren. They are: Mr. Gladys Dekker of Grundy Center; Donald W. Vinton, St. Cloud, Minn; Clarence R. Vinton of Whitten; Mrs. Marlyn Tuttle, Marshalltown; Dale Robert and Merel Vinton of Whitten; Mrs. Betty Hahn of Waterloo; Mrs. Helen Yound of Mission, Kansas; Mrs. Ruth Davis, Littleton, Iowa; and Charles Saint of Melbourne. Also 15 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Saint, on Sept. 3, 1930; also by a son, Ray Saint on Feb. 5, 1956, and by her brother, Adra Walton, on March 13, 1954. Also by 3 grandchildren, Clifford Otis, Wilma Jean and June Elaine Vinton, on great-granddaughter, Marlene Kay Tuttle. She was a member of the Whitten Christian church and an active member as long as health permitted. Funeral services were Friday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at the Whitten Christian church, with burial in the Eldora cemetery. Service were in charge of Rev. Dilsaner. Pallbearers were Rolla Long, Earl Lamer, Dan Yordy, Gussie Walton, Sherrill Messick and John Follett. Flowers were in charge of Lucille Long, Garnet Houghkirk, Jessie Lamer, and Rose Lamer. Music was by Russell Kruse and Margie Bavender.
