Esther Masonhall was owner and operator of the Masonhall Beauty Shop in Postville since 1925 when she and her husband moved to Postville. She also operated a similar shop in Waterloo previous to coming to Postville. She was a member of the Cosmotologist Association of Iowa, the American Legion Auxiliary, Postville Commercial Card Club and was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge. Esther was baptized in the Christian faith on May 7, 1949, by Rev. W. T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were held Friday, November 27, at 1:30 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Walter T Martin in charge of the rites. Esther's siblings were Elmer, Viola, Ora, Paul and Grace.
