Esther Ellen Frescoln, daughter of George and Mary Carter Leggott was born 6 October 1896 in Gosper county, Nebraska and died 19 February 1978 at her home in Winner. She attended school at the Ash Grove School in Gosper county and graduated from high school at Elwood, Nebraska. She worked at the First National Bank in Elwood until her marriage to Joseph G. Frescoln on 21 September 1919 in Elwood. They were engaged in farming in the Winner area for many years. In former years she was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and Extension Clubs and she was still an active member of the United Methodist Church in Winner. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lowell [Dorothy] Vanneman of Ideal and Mrs. Don (Jean) Wenzalff of Hinsdale, Illinois, a son Robert Frescoln of Milford, Nebraska and two brothers, Edward and Charles Leggott of Elwood, two sisters, Alice Hall of Elwood and Annie Fish of Oxford, Nebraska, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, one brother Roy Leggott, two sisters, Mary Leggott and Carrie Tilson, one grandson, one granddaughter and two great grandchildren. __________ Memorial card lists as pallbearers, David Lenker, James Vanneman, Ryal Vanneman, Dennis Pospisil, Jack Nelson and Doug Christianson, honorary pallbearers were Lyle Nelson, Pete Olson, Harold Bridgman, Theron Jordon, Gene Nelson and Roy Goodell. Flower bearers were Mrs. Dave Lenker an Mrs. Frank Antes. Soloist was Mrs. Gordon Higgins and organist Mrs. Walter Renkling with songs "Abide With Me" and "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth". __________
