Description	:	ASHEBORO, N.C. — Ethel Marie Copeland Edgerton, 94, of 1302 Old Cox Rd., Asheboro, died Sunday, Oct. 1 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Ethel was born May 21, 1912 in Northampton Co., N.C., daughter of J. Thomas Copeland and Mary Wilbur Hazard. She grew up in the Friendsville community near Ramseur and it was there that she met and married her husband of 69 years, Virgil W. Edgerton, who preceded her in death. Read More	ASHEBORO, N.C. — Ethel Marie Copeland Edgerton, 94, of 1302 Old Cox Rd., Asheboro, died Sunday, Oct. 1 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Ethel was born May 21, 1912 in Northampton Co., N.C., daughter of J. Thomas Copeland and Mary Wilbur Hazard. She grew up in the Friendsville community near Ramseur and it was there that she met and married her husband of 69 years, Virgil W. Edgerton, who preceded her in death. The family lived near Salem, OH for 48 years. The couple's last years were spent in the Cross Road Retirement Community, Asheboro. Ethel was a dedicated homemaker and a loving mother and wife and a lifelong Quaker. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Eric J. Treadway. Survivors include: two daughters, Carole Treadway and her husband, Ray, of Greensboro, N.C. and Joyce Scholl and her husband, Bill, of Chardon; a granddaughter, Annemarie Dloniak and her husband, Brian, of Greensboro; a nephew, Harold Edgerton and his wife, LaVonne, of St. Charles, Mo., and family; a niece, Rita Schoeni and her husband, Kenneth, of Bowling Green, and family; and two sister-in-laws, Bertha Allen and Sybil Penkava, of Asheboro, and their families. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, at Holly Spring Friends Meeting and will be conducted by Rev. Ricky Sessoms and Darren Allen. Burial will be at Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm, Thursday evening at Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur, N.C. Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Randolph County, P. O.
