The organist was Mrs. Mary Else, who accompanied Rev. and Mrs. Ray Hays in the following vocal selections: "Peace, Peace, Wonderful Peace" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Etta Mae Cohoon, daughter of Clara Ann and Cornelius Cohoon, was born at Mt. Ayr, Iowa on September 2, 1886. Later the family moved to Villisca, where Mae has since resided. On September 29, 1908, she was united in marriage to James Albert Still, in the city of Creston, Iowa. They returned to Villisca where they established their home. The husband, Jimmie Still was employed as operator and ticket agent at the local depot. To this union six children were born. One daughter, Evelyn Still survives. Mae united with the local Baptist Church early in life, as a young girl and attended regularly as long as her health permitted. She loved the Church and God’s people, and was a faithful witness for her Saviour, until the end. She also attended the Free Methodist Church here in Villisca with Rev. Ray Hays as pastor and taught the Sunday School. Her great ambition life was serving and doing for others. She loved people and had a wide circle of friends. She slipped quietly away to be with her Saviour Wednesday morning, June 29, at her home in Villisca, Iowa. In addition to one daughter, Evelyn Still of Villisca, survivors include two brothers, N. E. Cohoon of West Burlington, Iowa and B. H. Cohoon of Villisca, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
