Description	:	Funeral services for James Albert (Jimmy) Still, were held on Thursday, February 11, 1965 at 2:00 p.m. from the Wolfe Funeral Home with the Rev. Norton Stokes, and the Rev. Ray Hayes officiating. Mrs. Mary Else, organist accompanied the Rev. and MRs. Ray Hayes in the following hymns, “Face to Face, and “Jesus Is Always With Me.” Flower bearers were Mrs. Orville Shaver and Mrs. Darwin Dunn. Pall bearers included Marlin Gundermaon, Orville Marsh, Reuel Fengel, Earl Marsh, Ed Weiner, and Harry Olson. James Albert Still, son of Charles and Anna Still, was born December 31, 1886 at Joliet, Illinois, and passed away February 7, 1965, at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. During Mr. Still’s youth, the family lived in Creston, where he attended school, and during his formative years, his father passed away. He began his life’s work with the Railway. At the age of 14, he worked at the railroad company in Creston. Sometime later he was assigned to the Villisca station, where he remained in the employ of the Burlington Railroad Company for 57 yers. He was united in marriage to Etta Mae Cohoon of Villisca, September 29, 1908 at Creston and they established their home in Villisca, where he was telegrapher and ticket agent until his retirement on December 31 1957. Mr. and MRs. Still were parents of sic children, all of whom preceded him in death except Miss Evelyn of Villisca, who survives. Mr. Still served as president of the Villisca Mutual Loan and Building Association for a number of years. He was deeply interested in the welfare of the community. In addition to his wife and daughter, Evelyn, survivors include a brother, Eugene, Oregon; two sisters of Creston, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister. He was a kind and loving husband and father, whose life was devoted to his family and friends.
