The following provided by Find A Grave contributor Stephen Bogner: From family records, set down by a granddaughter in 1986, it is known that Eugene Boice was a school teacher at the age of 19, and that he later ran a drag line. He married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Watchpocket 01 January 1884. Lila Eugenia Boice was born to them on 10 February 1891, and a son was born to them some time later, but died in infancy. He married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Watchpocket 01 January 1884. Lila Eugenia Boice was born to them on 10 February 1891, and a son was born to them some time later, but died in infancy. Eugene and Lizzie were divorced, and he remarried and moved to Saskatchewan, Canada. It is not know if any children were born to this second marriage. It is also unclear when he returned to Montana, but for reasons unknown his wife did not come with him. He homesteaded near Fort Benton in 1914. By the 1920's Eugene and Lizzie were again living together, although they never remarried. As they were living on a small farm that was only a couple of miles from Lila and her husband Floyd Terry, their grandchildren were able to spend quite a bit of time with them. After Lizzie's death in 1940 Eugene moved to Fort Benton. He lived with the DeBruin family there until his death on 25 August 1945, at the age of 89 years.
