Description	:	Eunice was born to Swedish parents, Albert and Marie (Almquist) Sandine, at home about four miles from Kackley, KS. Her grandparents were all born in Sweden. She graduated from Kackley High School in 1929. She continued her education at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS and graduated in 1933 with majors in Latin and French. Eunice began her career teaching in Manning, KS and for a year taught a variety of subjects including typing, a totally new subject to her. Read More	Eunice was born to Swedish parents, Albert and Marie (Almquist) Sandine, at home about four miles from Kackley, KS. Her grandparents were all born in Sweden. She graduated from Kackley High School in 1929. She continued her education at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS and graduated in 1933 with majors in Latin and French. Eunice began her career teaching in Manning, KS and for a year taught a variety of subjects including typing, a totally new subject to her. The superintendent left Manning and asked her to transfer with him. She did so and taught English, Latin, and French for five years at Linn High School in Linn, KS. Following this experience she taught the same subjects in Blue Rapids, KS. Eunice met her future husband, Frank, in Linn. He was a bookkeeper for a grain elevator, and soon left to serve in the United States Navy. The couple married on December 16, 1945 and Eunice stayed in Linn until their move to Napa, CA in 1946, when Frank began his career with Bank of America. She and Frank both welcomed their son, Ralph, into their family the same year. Frank transferred to Garberville, CA in 1955 and Sutter Creek, CA in 1966 where he later retired. Eunice served as Amador High School's librarian for five years from 1967 to 1972. She always enjoyed previous students seeing her in the grocery store or around town reintroducing themselves, and sharing a story, a recollection or two. At the time of Eunice's passing she was the longest standing member of the Sutter Creek Women's Club. Eunice's religion was always very close to her heart and important to her. She and Frank were founding members of two Lutheran churches; Grace Lutheran in Redway, CA and Faith Lutheran in Pioneer, CA. Services were held at Faith Lutheran Church in Pioneer. Interment was in the Garden of Valor, Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson.
