Description	:	Eva Rausher was born to James and Melvina Whiteley Bartlett November 4, 1889, in Island City, Missouri, and left this life at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson July 17, 1983, at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 13 days. Eva lost her mother when she was an infant and was reared by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Burr Whiteley. She received her education in the Missouri public schools near Albany. Eva lost her mother when she was an infant and was reared by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Burr Whiteley. She received her education in the Missouri public schools near Albany. She and her sister, Emma, came to Nelson, Nebraska, in 1907 where she spent the remainder of her life. September 8, 1910, Eva was united in marriage to Edward Rausher. To this union were born five children. She joined the United Methodist Church of Nelson in 1945 and was a member of the Women's Society. She enjoyed being a member of the Busy Bee Club and was active in the Golden Age. Her entire life was dedicated to her home and family and her heart overflowed with love for children, particularly her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed in 1944; two sons, Lloyd in 1944 and Clare in 1980; and her sister, Emma Norwood. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil (Delcie) Stowers of Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Ross (Dorothy) Reeve of Aurora and Mr. and Mrs. Eldrick (Elsie) Grummert of Superior; two daughters-in-law, Edith Rausher of Nelson and Ethel Rausher of Clarendon, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 20, from the United Methodist Church in Nelson, with Rev. David T. Gustafson officiating. Soloist, Joe Ferebee, sang "I Won't Have To Cross Jordon Alone" and "Beyond The Sunset", with Ivan Schafer as organist and accompanist. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements. Casketbearers were Lloyd Rausher, Bill Rausher, Craig Grummert, Virgil Norwood, Dennis Reeve and Duane Reeve. Honorary pallbearers were Wilbur Williams, Clem Reeve, John Adams, Dennis Hurt, Clarence Farver, Basil Farver, Gordon Farver and Gerald Whiteley.
