Description	:	EVA DORTHAN SOWERS Eva Dothan Sowers, daughter of Robert and Catherine Sowers was born in Henderson, September 29, 1873 and passed away at her home in Henderson, January 12, 1942. Except for a few short intervals, her whole life was spent in the vicinity of Henderson and Emerson. She devoted much of her life to the service of others, caring for her sister, Grace during a long illness and later caring for her mother during the last years of a long life. Read More	EVA DORTHAN SOWERS Eva Dothan Sowers, daughter of Robert and Catherine Sowers was born in Henderson, September 29, 1873 and passed away at her home in Henderson, January 12, 1942. Except for a few short intervals, her whole life was spent in the vicinity of Henderson and Emerson. She devoted much of her life to the service of others, caring for her sister, Grace during a long illness and later caring for her mother during the last years of a long life. She is survived by four brothers, Elmer, Ed, and James of Henderson and Arthur of Jefferson, one sister, Mrs. A. L. Clark of Woodbine and numerous nieces and nephews. One brother, Elmer and a sister Grace preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday afternoon from the home with Rev. E. V. Felt in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. W. L. Fickel and Mrs. G. W. Wilson. Pall bearers were A. J. Harbor, G. T. Harover, Clinton Parker, Arthur Phelps, E. G. Plumb, and W. L. fickle. Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Card Of Thanks The family of Eva Sowers wished to thank the many friends and neighbors for their acts of kindness and expressions of sympathy during her illness and at the time of her death. Glenwood Opinion Tribune, Thursday, January 22, 1942 MISS EVA SOWERS DIES AT HENDERSON Death came Tuesday morning to Miss Eva Sowers, aged Henderson resident, at her home in that community. Funeral services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at her home and burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
