PELTON LAID TO REST SUNDAY AFTERNOON Funeral Services Were Held At Methodist Church Eva Rosa Brown was born at Willoughby, Ohio, May 15, 1855, and departed this life at the Pawnee Hospital, September 11, 1930 at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage to George Henry Pelton on January 16. 1878. he having preceded her in death on May 1st, 1906. There were four children born to this union, Arthur Pelton of Billings, Montana, Standley Pelton who died at the age of 3, Velma Farwell of DuBois, and Charles Pelton of Fishtail, Montana. Mrs. Pelton and her husband spent their early married life on the farm in Ohio. In 1887 they came to Nebraska and located in the neighborhood of DuBois, where their family was raised. Our departed sister lived in DuBois until about two years ago, when owing to ill health, she was compelled to go into the Pawnee Hospital, from whence God saw fit to call her home. She was a faithful member of the DuBois Methodist Church and as long as health permitted she was an active worker of the church in all its branches. for a number of years she was president of the Ladies Aid and was beloved and respected by all who came in contact with her. She has gone beyond recall, but we can all join her in the home above if we like her prove faithful. The last months of her life her memory was impaired. Often she did not recognize her best friends, but now all that is passed, she has gone to where she shall know as she is known, and where she shall meet her loved ones who have gone before, and where she shall await the coming of those who remain to mourn her loss. We do not mourn without hope. Jesus Christ has conquered death for us and death is swallowed up in victory. She is not dead but has only passed on to a fuller and better life hid with Christ in God. She surely is one of the ransomed of the Lord, sorrow and sighing is fled away. Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church at 3 o'clock Sunday with Rev. C. A. Arnison in charge.
