Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Buck Creek United Methodist church and interment in the Buck Creek cemetery, Hopkinton. The Rev. Herbert Shafer officiated at the services. Herbert Shafer officiated at the services. Evaleena Frances Orr was born in Delaware county, August 31, 1887, the daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Ratcliff) Orr. She received her early education in the schools of Delaware county and Coggon. Evaleena Orr and Charles C. Bacon were married July 5, 1906. After their marriage the couple farmed in Delaware county until 1947, when the couple moved to Hopkinton. Her husband preceded her in death July 21, 1954. After the death of her husband she spent the winter months in Florida and Alabama with members of her family. She was a lifelong member of the Buck Creek Methodist church and the U. M. W. of the church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gene (Neva) Thompson, Muscatine; Vera J. Bacon, Iowa City; Mrs. Paul (Atha) Cahalan, Huntsville, AL; four sons, Harvey of Monticello, Fay Bacon of Hopkinton, Vern of Lakeland, FL, and Don of Ocoee, FL. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Ula Haigh, Feb. 9, 1968; three grandchildren, her parents, and a brother.
