Description	:	Aberdeen - Funeral service for Evalene L. Rochow, 98, of Aberdeen will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2006, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, Aberdeen. Pastor Ross Prevo of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will be officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the funeral service at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006, and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Monday, all at the mortuary. Evalene L. Rochow was born Dec. 14, 1907, to Otto and Amanda (Jensen) Rochow at Wallace, S.D. Evalene received her education in Watertown and also attended Business College in Watertown. Evalene worked as a bookkeeper for the J.I. Case Company in Watertown for a short time. She later moved to Aberdeen and worked for the Aberdeen Implement Company for 20 years. Evalene also managed a yarn shop for 12 years, teaching knitting, and selling yarn and yarn accessories. Evalene was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years. She volunteered much of her time for church activities and held several church offices. Evalene enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles and traveling. Surviving Evalene are several cousins and her dear friend, Etta Bassinger of Aberdeen. Evalene was preceded in death by her parents. Published in the Aberdeen News on 7/9/2006.
