She passed away at 4:15 p. m. at the Jefferson county hospital where she was entered as a patient yesterday morning. She suffered a heart ailment. Last rites will be Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Fannie Elizabeth McKee, 75, was born April 13, 1882, in Jefferson county, the daughter of the late Alex and Nancy Simmons Picken. She was reared and educated in Jefferson county and was united in marriage on Sept. 9, 1901, to Warren Chase McKee who survives. The wedding took place at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. McKee have made their home in Fairfield for the past 48 years. The family home is located at 106 W. Hempstead street. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Martha, at home; and Mrs. Don J. Dallas, Tipton, Iowa. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Mrs. Milton Nelson, Ames; a grandson, Jack Dallas, Tipton; and an adopted brother, B. F. Durfree, Bayville, N.J. She is the last of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, W. B. Picken and R. B. Picken.
