Description	:	(KS) Belleville Telescope Dec. 1, 1953 Fannie Estella Dovel, daughter of A. M. and Jane E. Hall was born August 22, 1866, in Marshall county, Iowa, near Gillman. In 1872 they moved to Tabor, Ia., and in 1875 the family moved to Smith county, Kansas by covered wagon and settled near Cedar, Kan. In 1885 they moved to Blaine. On June 29, 1898, she was married to William Preston Dovel who preceded her in death on June 5, 1935. To this union were born two children. Hall was born August 22, 1866, in Marshall county, Iowa, near Gillman. In 1872 they moved to Tabor, Ia., and in 1875 the family moved to Smith county, Kansas by covered wagon and settled near Cedar, Kan. In 1885 they moved to Blaine. On June 29, 1898, she was married to William Preston Dovel who preceded her in death on June 5, 1935. To this union were born two children. They made their home on a farm near Munden until the fall of 1918 when they moved to Munden where she lived until 1949 when she went to Scandia. In Scandia she was cared for by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Dovel, until she passed away at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 27 days on December 19, 1953. She attended the school for the deaf at Olathe and while there united with the Congregational church, later transferring her member to the M. E. church in Munden where she was a member at the time of her death. As long as she was able, she attended services faithfully and especially enjoyed being a member of the W. S. C. S. Her patient, kind, sweet, disposition endeared her to all who knew her. Her Christian faith was o much a part of her life that it was a great inspiration to those who, she loved. She was a faithful wife and a devoted mother. She is survived by one son, Rodney Dovel of Scandia and one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Dejmal of Munden; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Rodney Dovel and a son-in-law, Jerry Dejmal; three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Rosch of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Gertrude Klontz of Osborne, Mrs. Clyde Stark of Fallon, Nev., and Mrs. Frank Hart of Lebanon, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Munden Methodist church December 21. The Rev. J. Holland Vernon and the Rev. John Frint officiating and burial was at Ida cemetery.
