Mr. Racette was born Aug. 22, 1931, at Aurora, Kan., and was a California resident for 40 years. He was a sales representative for plumbing manufacturers and was a Marine veteran. Survivors include two daughters, Renee Kelman of La Jolla and Tamra Morswice of Torrance; his mother, Florence Walchle of Salina, Kan.; two brothers, Ansel of El Cajon and Leland of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Emma Jean Woodruff of Salina, Olene Senner of Milford, Kan., and Lou Ann Stalder of Clay Center, Kan; and a grandchild. A memorial service was conducted Thursday at St. Johns of the Cross Church, Lemon Grove. The body was cremated. Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Salina Hospice or American Cancer Society. Geisendorf-Rush Smith Funeral Home, 401 W. Iron Ave., Salina, Kan. 67401, is handling local arrangements.
