Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Elzene Fryer, 89, were held Thursday May 28, 1964 at 2:00 p.m. from the Methodist Church with interment in the Villisca Cemetery and Wolfe Funeral Home in charge. Officiating at the service was Rev. George E. Snyder. The organist and Miss Elzene Gourley, accompanied Mrs. Lynn D. Hull in the following vocal selections, “Rock Of Ages” and “In The Garden.” Flower bearers were Mrs. Gerald Shipley, Mrs. Clarence Hillerary, and Mrs. John Palmquist. Erkenbrack, was born in Page County, near Villisca, Iowa on October 30, 1894, and passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, Mary 23, 1964, at the age of 69 years. She grew to womanhood in the Villisca community. On September 12, 1912, she was united in marriage to Frederick William Fryer at Omaha, Nebraska. They lived in Omaha for a year and a half, after which time they returned to Villisca and moved on a farm. They continued in farming the rest of their married life. In 1945 they moved to their home on Fifth Avenue in Villisca. Mrs. Fryer has been in failing health for 25 years. She was a charter member of the “You and I” Club and a member of the Villisca Methodist Church. Elzene was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two brothers. In addition to her husband, Fred, she is survived by three daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hanson, Villisca Mrs. Helen Hess, Alexandria, Virginia, and Mrs. Maxine Nelson, Clarinda; one son, William D.
