Flora Mae Henning was born July 30, 1932, north of Glasco, to Henry Albert Henning and Vera Mae (Amspacker) Henning. She attended rural school in Glasco and graduated from Glasco High School, Glasco, in 1951. She met Freddie August Hoesli Jr. in 1954 and was married July 17, 1955. Flora Mae Henning was born July 30, 1932, north of Glasco, to Henry Albert Henning and Vera Mae (Amspacker) Henning. She attended rural school in Glasco and graduated from Glasco High School, Glasco, in 1951. She met Freddie August Hoesli Jr. in 1954 and was married July 17, 1955. To this union two children were born: son, Cecil August Hoesli and daughter, Nancy Mae Hoesli. Flora Mae worked at the Glasco west and east side cafe, Charles Studt Grocery Store in Glasco, Kelly Fine Food in Glasco, Glasco Lumber Yard, and Glasco Dry Cleaners. She was a bookkeeper for Chalmers and Burton Elevator while living in Nebraska and Wichita. She cleaned houses in Glasco. She was a custodian at Glasco Grade School and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glasco. She worked at the Glasco Booster Station and the Ottawa County Hospital before retiring in 1989 after her son's auto accident. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glasco and Helpmates Club. Flora Mae enjoyed life, she especially enjoyed her grandkids: Justin and Rachel Gibbs and then her great grandson Ryan Ray, she then was also really excited to see new pictures of her new great granddaughter Antonia Mae Gibbs. She enjoyed watching Justin, Rachel and Ryan in school activities. She was blessed to be able to watch her grandson Justin play college football both in her trips to Highland Community College and to the University of Charleston in Charleston, W.Va. She loved spending time with family some of her favorite times: the trip to Alaska with her brother-in-law Jim Hoesli and wife Betty, camping, fishing, boating, the many trips to the Kansas State Fair, Colby Jamboree, and times her and her cousins would get together. She especially enjoyed playing marbles with brother-in-law Jim Hoesli and wife Betty. She always said that a game of marbles whether it be in the hospital, camping or at home was always won by the girls. Early in life she always loved to be outside in her flower garden. Those left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are: her son Cecil Hoesli and daughter, Nancy Mae Gibbs (Jackie) all of Glasco; grandson, Justin Gibbs (Margaret) and great-granddaughter, Antonia Mae Gibbs all of Pasadena, Ma.; granddaughter, Rachel Wright (John) and Ryan Ray Harder all of Minneapolis; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Henning of Glasco, and Betty Hoesli of Lamar, Colo.; brother-in-law, Doug Hoesli (Marilyn) of Salina; and cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of many friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Henry, 1962, and Vera Mae, 2003; husband, Freddie August Hoesli, June 2015; niece, Vicki Lee Hoesli, 1966; nephews, Keri Allen Hoesli, 1973, and Leland James Henning, 1995; brother-in-law, James Hoesli, 2012; and brother, Jimmie Lee Henning, 2017. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, where the family will receive friends from 5-7. Cremation will follow the services. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Wilson Family Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be given to Glasco High School Alumni, or the Ottawa County Health Center Long Term Care.
