Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Wesley United Methodist church in Akron. The Rev. Peter Peterson officiated. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery under the direction of Schroeder funeral home of Akron. A prayer service was held Monday evening in the funeral home. Mrs. Lias, the former Florence Bernice Rhodes, was born Oct. 25, 1896; at Haddom, Kan. She married Eugene Lias Oct. 4, 1916, at Le. Mars. They farmed in the Akron area until 1957 when they retired to Akron. He died June 14, 1969. She was a member of the Akron Garden club, the Embroidery club, and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a lifelong member of the Wesley United Methodist church in Akron. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Lorraine) Bauch of Delavan, Wise, and Ruth Lowery of Akron; three sons, Harvey, Robert and David, all of Akron; one sister, Mrs. Lila Kirk of Racine, Wise.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
