Story of this city, passed away at the Pawnee Hospital Sunday, April 30, following a short illness. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Lewiston, Tuesday afternoon of this week at 2 o'clock and interment was in the Pawnee City Cemetery. Florence Harriet Story was born December 13, 1895 in Pawnee County, Nebraska and departed this life, April 30, 1938 at the age of 43 years, 4 months, 16 days. She received her education in the rural schools of Pawnee County, attending the Pawnee City High School for three years. She taught school for four years, her first year being in Rock County, Nebraska, after that she taught for three years in the vicinity of Lewiston. On February 28, 1919 she was united in marriage to Byron Merrill Sisco who survives her. She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her devoted companion, her mother , Mrs. Harriet Story, five sisters, four brothers, other relatives and a host of friends. Her father preceded her in death three years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Lewiston and took active interest in the social and business activities of the community. Always acquiring a cheerful disposition, she was known as "Florence" by both old and young. Florence was particularly respectful and considerate to all elderly people with whom she came in contact , bestowing many acts of kindness upon them. Her health began to fail about a year ago, and during the last two months failed most rapidly. All that medical aid and living hands could do was to no avail.
