Prevo Florence M. Prevo, 95, of Washington, Iowa, died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at United Presbyterian Home in Washington. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington County Hospice. Mrs. Prevo was born Jan. 5, 1904, in Washington County, the daughter of Edgar C. and Maude Stewart Statler. He married Milton H. Jones. He died May 22, 1957. She then married Emery Prevo Oct.29, 1960, in Libertyville. He died June 21, 1989. She was educated in the Washington County schools and graduated from Pleasant Plain Consolidated Schools. She was a clerk in retail stores for many years, a volunteer worker at the hospital, a member of American Legion Auxiliary. She and her second husband lived on his farm for 15 years until they retired and moved to Fairfield. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church for 30 years. Survivors include one brother, Clarence Statler of Washington; one stepdaughter, Naomi Huggins; and two stepgrandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy and George Statler; and four sisters, Blanche Reighard, Mae Bray, Ruth Patterson and Mary Eatinger.
