He was born in the Camp Creek community June 19, 1900, a son of William A. and Minnie Barsch Lauffer. He had resided in Atchison most of his adult life. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Helen Storbeck Lauffer of the home, 509 Park Street; a daughter, Mrs. J. T. (Floydene) Luke, Ann Arbor, Mich.; three grandchildren, Debbie Luke, 5 and twins, John and Floyd Luke, 3, his mother, Mrs. Minnie Lauffer, Atchison; two brothers, Roy Lauffer, Atchison and Walter Lauffer, Milwaukee, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Esther) Erdman, Milwaukee. His father and a brother, Ralph Lauffer, preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and was a member of the church council many years. August 2, 1962 Pallbearers at funeral services for Floyd A. Lauffer, 62, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. today were Russell Keithline, Henry Nestler, Walter Tschorn, Quincy Fowler, Alvin Thomas and Christian Torkelson, The Rev. George L. Search officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens. The Stanton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
