Description	:	Obituary Mr. Floyd E. Gaver, 77, a resident of Quincy Village and formerly of 25464 Military Road, Cascade, MD, died Wednesday evening, December 11, 2013 in the nursing home. Born January 7, 1936 in Highfield, MD, he was the son of the late J. Lloyd and Mary M. (Smith) Gaver. He lived most of his life in the Cascade area. He and his wife, the late Marie Mary (Pryor) Gaver, were married on June 9, 1957 in Smithsburg, MD. They moved to the Military Road address in 1978. Mrs. Gaver died on June 17, 2003. Gaver, 77, a resident of Quincy Village and formerly of 25464 Military Road, Cascade, MD, died Wednesday evening, December 11, 2013 in the nursing home. Born January 7, 1936 in Highfield, MD, he was the son of the late J. Lloyd and Mary M. (Smith) Gaver. He lived most of his life in the Cascade area. He and his wife, the late Marie Mary (Pryor) Gaver, were married on June 9, 1957 in Smithsburg, MD. They moved to the Military Road address in 1978. Mrs. Gaver died on June 17, 2003. Mr. Gaver worked for Moore's Business Forms, retiring in 1991. He later worked for Knouse Foods, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed softball, baseball, and raising hogs, steers, and rabbits. He is survived by four children, James E. Gaver of Pond Bank, PA, Jonathan L. Gaver of Cascade, MD, Jeanna M. Gladhill of Florida, and Joel D. Gaver of Waynesboro; 10 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Rock of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey E. Gaver; one grandson, James E. Gaver, Jr.; one sister, Pat Grant; and one brother, James Gaver. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 16, 2013 in Bethel Church Cemetery, Raven Rock Road, Cascade, MD. There will be no public viewing. Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, is handling the arrangements.
