Farmer. ************** FLOYD HOWARD YOBLE Floyd Howard Yoble was born to Edmund and Hettie Yoble on December 23, 1926, at DuBois, Neb. Floyd passed away at the Pawnee County Hospital March 27, 1988, following a heart attack. Floyd spent his childhood years in DuBois where he attended school and graduated in 1945 from DuBois High School. He entered the Army on November 30, 1950 and served in Korea and Japan. He was discharged May 16, 1952. On May 18, 1952, Floyd was united in marriage to Ruby Rockemann in the Presbyterian Church at Humboldt. To this union three children were born: Larry Alan, Debra Ann and Dale Lee. Floyd was a loving father and enjoyed his family, especially his four grandchildren. Floyd was a farmer all his life, a good neighbor and friend, ready to help anyone at any time. He enjoyed his farming and square dancing. He belonged to the K. P. Lodge in DuBois, was a volunteer fireman, served on the County Weed Board, served on the Selective Service Board, was an ASCS Committee for a number of years, served on the school board, American Legion Post #39 of DuBois, and the VFW in Pawnee City. Floyd was a member of the DuBois United Methodist Church and had held many offices of the church, presently he was Chairman of the Administrative Council and a member of the Pastor/Parsh Relations Committee. Floyd was preceded in death by two brothers, Wyeth of the military service and a baby brother, one sister, Fern Andrews, and his parents, Edmund and Hettie Yoble. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; two sons, Larry of Lincoln, and Dale and his wife Ann and their daughter Beth Ann of DuBois; a daughter Debra and her husband Roger Haselhorst and their children, Jeremy, Heidi and Aaron of Norfolk, Ne.; a sister Altha and her husband Clarence Hecht of Hackensack, Mn.; a brother Harold Dean and his wife Carolyn of DuBois; a brother-in-law Owen Andrews of DuBois; many nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law Beulah Rockemann, an aunt Olga Fankhauser of California, many cousins and a host of wonderful friends. Services for Flody Howard Yoble were held Wednesday, March 30, 1988, at the DuBois United Methodist Church with Donald J. Webster officiating. The soloist was Mrs. Charles Streit with Mrs. Roland Finkner as the organist. Active pallbearers were Rex Reist, Lumir Rakosnik, Robert Droge, Milan Rakosnik, Lyle Farwell and Jon Klepper. The honorary pallbearers were Dean Farwell, Ross Weddle, Ludwig Musil, Arthur Meier, Leon Bohm and Kenneth Rohlmeier. The American Legion Post #39 of DuBois was in charge of the committal service at the DuBois Cemetery. Following the committal service, a lunch was served to relatives and friends by the ladies of the congregation and the community. Wherry Brothers Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
