Description	:	Forrest L. Courtney Forrest Lynwood Courtney, 80, of Stanley, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Luray. He was born on July 5, 1935, in Luray and was a son of the late William Ray Courtney and Beulah Clara Jenkins Courtney. Mr. Courtney worked for Wrangler for 46 years as a forklift operator. Courtney Forrest Lynwood Courtney, 80, of Stanley, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Luray. He was born on July 5, 1935, in Luray and was a son of the late William Ray Courtney and Beulah Clara Jenkins Courtney. Mr. Courtney worked for Wrangler for 46 years as a forklift operator. He was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church. On July 6, 1957, he married Janice Adele Presgraves Courtney, who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Philip and David Courtney, both of Luray; two brothers, Archie Courtney of Stanley, and Roy Courtney of Front Royal; and a granddaughter, Denise Adele Courtney of Luray. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Edward Courtney; and two sisters, Agnes Lorraine Rinaca and Helen Louderback. A funeral service was conducted on Friday, August 28, at St. Luke Lutheran Church by Pastor Phyllis Diamond and the Rev. Mark Briehl. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
