Fannie married William Hunter on October 26, 1854, in Cooper County, Missouri, when she was 15. The 1900 census lists Fannie as being 62, a widow, and living in Moniteau County, Missouri, with their daughter and son-in-law, Ella and Thomas Snorgrass, and their sons, John O., age 14, and Floyd, age 6. The 1900 census lists Fannie as being 62, a widow, and living in Moniteau County, Missouri, with their daughter and son-in-law, Ella and Thomas Snorgrass, and their sons, John O., age 14, and Floyd, age 6. The 1900 census for her husband, William, lists him as being 74, widowed, and living with their 24 year-old son, Sterling P., in Santa Paula Township, Ventura, California. Sterling is listed as a student. The 1910 census lists Fannie as being 71, a widow, and living in Morgan County, Missouri, with their son and his wife, John B. and Sarah "Sallie" Hunter, and their daughters, Rosa M., age 19, and Gertrude, age 10. The 1910 census lists her husband, William, as being 84, married, and an inmate (believe this means resident) of a veterans' home in Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon. He is buried in the National Veterans' Cemetery there. NOTE: With regard to Fannie and William's marital status on the 1900 census, both gave the information that they were widowed; however, dates of their deaths do not indicate that to be the case. With regard to William's information on the 1910 census that he was married, no confirmation of another marriage has been found.
