Description	:	Frances “Elaine” Knabe, 82 years of age, of Beatrice, Nebraska died at the Beatrice Manor on Saturday night, March 19, 2005. She was born July 11, 1922 at rural Ellis, Nebraska and attended the Ellis country school. She worked on the line for Swifts and Company. She married Ervin “Jeff” Knabe on July 2, 1961 at Ellis, Nebraska and they lived and farmed near Odell until moving into Odell in 1973. In 1988 they moved to Beatrice. Read More	Frances “Elaine” Knabe, 82 years of age, of Beatrice, Nebraska died at the Beatrice Manor on Saturday night, March 19, 2005. She was born July 11, 1922 at rural Ellis, Nebraska and attended the Ellis country school. She worked on the line for Swifts and Company. She married Ervin “Jeff” Knabe on July 2, 1961 at Ellis, Nebraska and they lived and farmed near Odell until moving into Odell in 1973. In 1988 they moved to Beatrice. She was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church of Odell and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Armstrong-Wasserman Post #231 American Legion Auxiliary of Odell. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing and coaching softball, bowling, watching baseball on television and Nebraska football. Survivors include one daughter Kay Shively and her husband Ted and one son Gary Knabe all of Beatrice, Nebraska. Two grandchildren Stormy Lynn Shively and Sylvaughn Gray Shively both of Beatrice. Two sisters, Lois Lampe and Mary White both of Beatrice, Nebraska and one brother Roland White and his wife Peggy of Ellis, Nebraska. Two sisters-in-law Berniece Wieters and Verna Riekenberg and her husband DeVere all of Hanover, Kansas. One brother-in-law Andy Winter of Buffalo Center, Iowa. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Alma Pefferman White, her husband Ervin “Jeff” Knabe who died on November 21, 2001, one daughter Linda Kay White, two sisters Doris Rohr and Ihla Winter, one brother LaVerne White, five brothers-in-law Wilbur Borgman, Don Fletcher, Rich Wieters, Lawrence Knabe and Dick Lampe, and one sister-in-law Lula Knabe. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church of Odell, Nebraska with Pastor Don McKillop officiating. Burial will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery of Diller, Nebraska. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. Tuesday at the church. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice with Fox Funeral Home in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday evening. There will be no viewing at the church on Wednesday. A guestbook for signatures and messages of condolence is available online at www.foxfuneralhome.net. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
