Description	:	Mrs. R.W. Hiatt died suddenly at her home in Geneva at 8:45 p.m., Friday, August 12, 1927, aged 64 years, 10 months and 22 days. Mrs. Hiatt was ill only a few minutes. After retiring she suffered an attack of acute indigestion. She took a dose of soda to relieve her stomach. Mr. Hiatt called Dr. Pendell, but Mrs. Hiatt had expired before he reached the Hiatt home. The doctor pronounced heath due to acute dilation of the stomach following acute indigestion. At the evening meal Mr. and Mrs. Hiatt had eaten corn, cucumbers and radishes. Some of these vegetables apparently were the cause of the attack of indigestion. Mr. Hiatt was only slightly affected. Frances Ellen Youst was born in Sharidon, Lucas County, Iowa, in 1863. In 1870 the family moved to Nebraska. She was married to R. W. Hiatt in 1881. She was the mother of eight children, two of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Hiatt is survived by her husband, six children, Blanche of Kimball, Gertrude of Poole, Mamie of Omaha, Archie of Grand Island, Roy of Central City and Dean of Geneva; thirteen grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones. She became a member of the Baptist Church at the age of fourteen. She became a member of the Christian Church in Geneva seven years ago. She was an untiring mother and a faithful worker in the church. The funeral was conducted at the home Monday afternoon at 2:30. George W. Caughran, minister, delivered the message.
