Her oldest sister, Marie (Mrs. Josef Topic) stayed in Bohemia and did not emigrate. Her marriage is recorded in Pawnee County, Nebraska as Fannie Shebek married to Peter Blecka on 10 April 1882. FRANTISKA BLECHA obituary: It is with deep regret that I report the death of our Sister Frantiska Blecha. Fannie Shebek was born in Tabor, Czechoslovakia on Nov. 9, 1861 and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Goes, on May 5, 1948. She came to the United States with her parents when she was 16 years of age, locating at St. Mary, Nebr. On April 10, 1886 she was married to Peter Blaker at Pawnee City, Nebr. and about 1900 she and her husband moved to a farm 1 1/2 miles west of Barneston, Nebr. Five children were born to this union who are Mrs. Mary Fisher of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Josephine Svoboda of Beatrice, Nebr., James Blaker of Marysville, Kan., Mrs. Helen Goes of Wymore, Nebr., and Bowman Blaker of Wymore, Nebr.; also 12 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Svanda of Table Rock, Nebr.; one brother, Joseph Shebek of Sterling, Nebr. Mrs. Blecha was a charter member of the WBFA Lodge of Barneston, Nebr. and a member of CSPS Lodge of Humboldt, Nebr. Her husband preceded her in death on May 28, 1919. She is survived by her five children, her brother, and sister. Mrs. Blecha, or Aunt Fannie, as she was more often called, had been in failing health for quite some time and had lived with and was cared for by her daughter and husband, Mr. & Mrs. John Goes. She suffered intensely for some time yet she was patient and cheerful throughout. She was a great lover of her home and family and also her neighbors and friends which were many. She was a fine christian character, having given her life to Christ. Funeral services were held at the Miller Funeral Home at Wymore, Nebr., May 8, 1948, conducted by Rev. E. E. Powell of Blue Springs, Nebr. The body was laid to rest in the Barneston Cemetery. To those who mourn her passing Lodge Budejovice No. 61 extends heartfelt sympathy and to our departed Sister, eternal rest.- For Lodge Budejovice No.11, Barneston, Nebr. Rose M. Pribyl, Secretary.
