Description	:	Frances Mollet, 86, of Vermillion, SD passed away Saturday, July 5 at the Sanford Vermillion Care Center. Frances (Anderson) Mollet was born February 7, 1928 on the farm her grandfather homesteaded near Akron, IA. She was raised on the farm and attended country school and Akron High School graduating in 1946. She sang in chorus, played piano in the jazz band and played basketball. Frances met her husband Lyman at a dance marring on April 20, 1949, they loved to dance, dancing throughout their 55 year marriage. They farmed together their entire marriage and she took great pride in being a homemaker... Read More	Frances Mollet, 86, of Vermillion, SD passed away Saturday, July 5 at the Sanford Vermillion Care Center. Frances (Anderson) Mollet was born February 7, 1928 on the farm her grandfather homesteaded near Akron, IA. She was raised on the farm and attended country school and Akron High School graduating in 1946. She sang in chorus, played piano in the jazz band and played basketball. Frances met her husband Lyman at a dance marring on April 20, 1949, they loved to dance, dancing throughout their 55 year marriage. They farmed together their entire marriage and she took great pride in being a homemaker and raising their six children. She was an accomplished pianist, seamstress, loved playing cards with friends and tending to her garden. Frances always had a freezer full of cookies, bread & pies for friends and family and never let anyone go without a second helping. Frances was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sanford Hospital Auxiliary, Merry Homemakers Extension Club, American Legion Auxiliary and the Vermillion Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Olga Anderson, her husband Lyman, her brothers Stanley and Conrad and a grandson Adam Knutson. She is survived by her sons Gary Mollet, Craig (Sandy) Mollet, Mark (Patti) Mollet, Kevin (Kristy) Mollet; daughters Deanna (Jeff) Leffers, Denise (Tom) Knutson; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
