Description	:	Francis E (Frank) Findling, 62 years of age and a life-long resident of Tipton county, died at the home of his brother, C. E. Findling west of Tipton Tuesday night at 9:15. The farm on which he died is known as the Findling homestead. He was born there July 23, 1875. Findling west of Tipton Tuesday night at 9:15. The farm on which he died is known as the Findling homestead. He was born there July 23, 1875. Frank Findling as he was known to all his friend, suffered from ill health most of his life and although of frail build, he was energetic and an industrious worker at his profession as a photographer. Two years ago he opened a studio over the Home Trade shoe store, but his health had been such that he could, spend but a portion of his time at his place of business. Following the death the body was removed to the Leatherman funeral home for preparation and to await funeral arrangements. Francis E. Findling was educated in the schools of this county receiving his first instruction at the Independence school. Later he attended Berea college in Ohio and returning to this county taught several terms at the old Liberty school. His parents were Valentine and Margaret (Geyser) Findling, his father removing here from, Hamilton county in the late sixties. With the exception of short periods in which he worked in studios at St. Louis and other points. Frank Findling spent his entire life in Tipton county. He was never too busy or in too bad a state of health to do some good turn for one asking assistance and he leaves many friends Mr. Findling was a long-time member of the Methodist church, uniting with the Goldsmith church and later transferring his membership to the Tipton church. Surviving relatives include three brothers, C.E. Findling and H. G. Findling, of the Independence neighborhood and Arthur Findling of Kokomo and a sister, Mrs. Lela Vandevender, of Goldsmith. He is also survived by two half-brothers, William E. Findling residing west of Tipton and John Findling northwest of Tipton.
