Description	:	Francis Harrison Blades of Easton died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1994 at Memorial Hospital, Easton. He was 69. Born in Queen Anne on Sept. 26, 1925, he was the son of the late Everett S. and Ida E. Harrison Blades. At the... Read More	Francis Harrison Blades of Easton died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1994 at Memorial Hospital, Easton. He was 69. Born in Queen Anne on Sept. 26, 1925, he was the son of the late Everett S. and Ida E. Harrison Blades. After graduating from Easton High School in 1943 he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre of Operations during World War II. Following his release from active duty in 1946, he returned to Easton where he spent the majority of his working life as a salesman of farm equipment and trucks and buyer and seller of grains. At the time of his death, he was a salesperson with Elliott-Wilson Trucks, Easton. A resident of Easton since 1935, he was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, E. E. Streets Memorial Post 5118, V.F.W., Easton Elks Lodge 1622, The Tidewater Farm Club, the Talbot County Farm Bureau, Hog Neck Men's Golf Association and the Maryland Motor Truck Association. He was a former member of the Easton Ruritan Club and the Delmarva Feed and Grain Dealers Association. Mr. Blades is survived by his wife, the former Shirley M. Reed, whom he married in March 1948; two daughters, Patricia B. Chapman of Easton and Nancy B. Harrell of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Florence B. Layton of Easton and Barbara B. Dryden of Ocean City; two brothers, E. Sheldon Blades Jr. and Robert E. Blades, both of Easton; and five grandchildren, Catherine H. Harrell, Sarah E. Chapman, Jennifer R. Harrell, Matthew T. Chapman and Samuel E. Harrell. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29 at the Newnam Funeral Home, Easton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton. (Contributed by Agnes Wallace Haddaway)
